Euan McConnell is an experienced professional mechanical engineer. After graduating with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 2000, Euan completed a graduate training programme with Airbus. He went on to lead Aircraft projects, both in the manufacturing and design fields, up until 2008 when he switched industries to Oil and Gas where he was a Senior Project Engineer for a small design and build company in Aberdeen. Work in this industry was again diverse and interesting and Euan took the opportunities to develop as an engineer.  Euan moved back to Galloway in 2009 where he worked from home as designer and lead engineer of a 80 tonne line pull winch for a new build pipe lay vessel being built in Rio in Brazil. Euan was also responsible for overseeing the fabrication and manufacture of this winch in Arbroath. This was completed in april 2010 and since then Euan has worked from home for a consultancy in Aberdeen on design review work of subsea completions equipment for another blue chip client.

Now with a young family Euan wishes to commit to a life in rural Galloway and seeks to transfer his skillset to the renewables industry to cater for a more local market.

Euan is committed to his career in Engineering and is an associate member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

In his spare time Euan likes to spend time with his family and to compete at racing bikes, both motorised and mountain bikes. Euan has competed in the world championships for motorcycle enduro for 8 years and has represented Great Britain 7 times.

Kylie McConnell is full time mum to Kylie and Euan's children - Isla and James - and spends whatever time she can afford to assist with administrative tasks for EMC Ltd.
